The New 20's approach is guidelines on how to create multicultural content and should be regarded as such.
A project is to represent at least five nationalities or cultures, whether that being in cast or crew.
A project must carry with it at least one major criticism to a current society and culture, i.e. colour blindness, gender equality, class, sexuality, general breaking with stereotyping, breaking with consumerism and conformity etc.
A project shall represent at least one under-represented or unheard voice.
A project should (as much as possible) be made by people who can best relate to the story or issues explored, therefore offering the most sincere representation, contributed through real-life experiences.
A project should include transparency and openness about the politics and ideological effect in a media text and audiences.
Furthermore, every project should strive on bringing in inexperienced people in entry-level jobs and encourage them to be taught and get insights within departments they are interested in and thereby elevate their future positions and opportunities to bring their unheard voices to the film industry.
